Soul Sacrifce Delta is coming

We were pretty big fans of Soul Sacrifice, but I admit when I saw the additional word 'Delta' added to the title, we were in for an updated version of the game, like Raganok Odyssey added Ace to its proper title and is planning to update for the Vita.

Two dozen more screens of Saint Seiya

Namco Bandai and Dimps have been showing off a lot of screens from Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. Given how easy all of the bright, saturated colours look, I cannot say I blame them. Hopefully the combat holds up.

Another Hyperdimension remake for Vita

Fans of JRPG titles who own a PlayStation Vita continue to be in luck. After the announcement that Hyperdimension Neptunia would be seeing an updated released called Re;Birth 1, it has now been announced that another remake is coming sooner than later.

Over a dozen new screens from Dark Souls II

Dark Souls and its predecessor Demon's Souls were dark, grim affairs that led to many, many player deaths. Dark Souls II promises to offer up more of the same, and the visuals continue to impress with every new batch of screenshots that get released.

Deep Down will be free to play

We recently talked about Deep Down in a prior post, having gleaned some more information about the title itself.

First look at Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax

If you are a fan of flashy, colourful fighters, then this one might be for you (and me).

A bunch of new screens from Dragon Ball Z

Here are a whole lot of new screenshots from Namco Bandai's upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. It was also announced that if you purchase the game day one, you will get a download code for a free Naruto Uzumaki sage costume.

Review: Etrian Odyssey: The Millennium Girl (3DS)

This has been a really good year for the Nintendo 3DS - doubly so if you are a fan of RPG titles. Shin Megami Tensei IV is still fresh in my mind as I had a chance to play another dungeon crawling RPG. In fact, it was not that long ago that the latest entry to Etrian Odyssey: Legends of the Titan was released, but Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl does an excellent job of balancing what gamers loved about the original game, with new mechanics that are hit far more often than miss.

Pulling back the curtain on the next Theatrhythm

Theatrhythm was a surprise hit by Square Enix when it released on the Nintendo 3DS. Not that Final Fantasy or its widely adored music did not have some pull, but the title was seen as 'odd' by quite a few people when it first released. Thankfully, that does appear to have been a detriment to overall sales, because Square Enix is readying a follow-up title: Curtain Call.

What is Deep Down?

One of the titles during E3 that most piqued my interest was the brief peek at Deep Down by Capcom. The game had a D-D name, rather similar to Capcom's Dragon's Dogma, which made me wonder if maybe this would be a related title. Visually, it feels like it has more in common with the Dark Souls series.

A bit more information on Phantasy Star Nova

About a week ago I posted just a small amount of information about Sega and Tri-Force's upcoming Phantasy Star Nova, which is an offline (there is local multiplayer, but it is not an online MMO like recent Phantasy Star titles) adventure set in the Phantasy star Online 2 world, but more story driven.

A dozen new screens from J-Stars Vs.

So far this fighting game looks like it will only be releasing in Japan, but given that it crosses up characters from popular series all over the world, such as Naruto and Goku, I am still holding out some hope that Namco Bandai will give this game a wider release.

Some screenshots of Natural Doctrine

I posted a quick trailer and set of comments about Natural Doctrine last week, and was already very excited about it. Though it is only a handful of screens, they look pretty sharp. Of course, strategy RPG games are among my favourite genre, making it notable for that alone, but that it is also coming out for the PlayStation 4 (as well as the PS3 and Vita), I have to say that I am even more excited by that news.

More familiar faces in Lightning Returns

Most of the characters shown so far for Lightning Returns have been those from the first Final Fantasy XIII, such as Snow (though he was briefly in the follow-up). Here we have a variety of screenshots, but in a few of them Caius and Yeul can be spied from XIII-2.

The next Skylanders?

Or maybe the next Disney Infinity?

Well, Capcom is likely hoping so with their upcoming Gaist Crusher for the Nintendo 3DS.

Battle Princess of Arcadias looks like it could be interesting

Nippon Ichi seems to have a history of games that can be very divisive. Many fans adore the fact that the publisher is willing to take chances - including releasing what could be considered niche games outside of Japan. Others simply do not find the unusual titles appealing.

Dynasty Warriors and Robots is going to be a thing

Gundam has quite a following in Japan, as does the Dynasty Warriors series. This is not the first time these two different franchises have been brought together like this, but the latest iteration of this action adventure series will be coming out sooner than later.

Screens from Sengoku Basara 4

Capcom teased some new screens for their upcoming Sengoku Basara 4 for the PlayStation 3.

Deception series to find new life on Vita

Here is an announcement that took me by complete surprise - but I am very happy to have heard it. Tecmo is going to bring the Deception series back - on the PlayStation Vita.

Vita getting another Phantasy Star title

While some of us in the US are still waiting (and hoping) for Phantasy Star Online 2 to release outside of Japan, fans of the long-running RPG series will no doubt be excited to hear that Tri-Ace is developing another title in the series.

Pokemon Mega Evolutions shown off

The upcoming Pokemon X & Y will no doubt be a hit, and Nintendo cleared up a few questions in some recent announcements. First, players will get a starter Pokemon from one of their friends: Froakie, Fennekin or Chespin. You will also get another one from Professor Sycamore: Squirtle, Charmander or Bulbasaur.

Kadokawa Games is bringing a new title to the PS4

Probably best known for publishing Lollipop Chainsaw, Kadokawa Games has announced that they will be releasing a strategy/RPG hybrid to the Vita, PS3 and perhaps most interestingly, the PlayStation 4.

Metal Gear Solid - looking pretty

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain garnered a lot of attention when it was first teased, and now the prologue Ground Zeroes is starting to draw quite a bit of attention as well - but for the right things? The visuals look amazing, and the promise of 60 frames per second is obviously nice, but Kojima's recent comments that they wanted to make the upcoming character Quiet to be more erotic and sexy raised a few eyebrows.

A quick glance as Lily Bergamo

When Goichi Suda talks about an upcoming title from Grasshopper Manufacture, a lot of people (including us) tend to listen.

Monster Hunter 4 crosses over with Mario and Zelda

We have been seeing a lot of crossovers of late, but this is one I did not see coming. Monster Hunter 4 by Capcom for the 3DS has been gaining a lot of steam, and now Nintendo has announced that there will be special The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario costumes to acquire.

One Piece looks pretty crazy

I think these screenshots say plenty about the craziness of Namco Bandai and Ganbarion's One Piece Unlimited World Red for the Nintendo 3DS.

Sant Seiya: Brave Soldiers looks great so far - and is releasing outside of Japan

Namco Bandai and developer Dimps has announced that Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers will be releasing outside of Japan, where it will see a September 19th release date. Rumor has it North America and Europe will see it November 26th of this year as well.

Neptunia's Vita remake includes new visuals and world map elements

It looks like the recently updated port of Hyperdimension Neptunia to the PlayStation Vita will have a few more key elements added to it. Aside from updating the visuals, the game's world map will be different in both appearance and functionality.

Legend of Raven looks like an interesting portable fighter

This is a rather interesting-looking title by publisher Nicalis. The visuals have a slightly pixelated look to them, but this is a download title for the PlayStation Vita. What is even more interesting is that it was originally slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS, but due to feedback, the project was switched over to the Vita instead.
