Ro-Kyu-Bu coming to Vita

It looks more and more like the Vita is becoming a destination for Japanese themed video games, much the way the PSP has been for several years now. Kadokawa Games had been rumoured to be releasing Ro-Kyu-Bu: Secret Shutter Chance for the PlayStation Portable, but in fact has announced that the title will be coming to the Vita instead.

There has been some life on the PSP despite the Vita's release, much the way PlayStation 2 had plenty of games being released for it well into the PlayStation 3 life cycle. While the PSP has had a lot of detractors over the years, it has been a home to plenty of really good RPG and strategy titles, and served as a somewhat reliable landing point for more niche Japanese titles as well. It looks like the Vita is starting to occupy that familiar space as well - good news for those of us who have invested in the system.

It is unlikely that this game will make its way to North America, but it good to see the Vita being taken more seriously of late. This title will come out in two forms - a limited edition and a standard release as well.
