New characters for Tekken Tag Tournament 2

I'm a big fan of the Tekken series, and have been playing Tekken Hybrid a bit of late in anticipation of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which is slated to release September 30th, 2012.

Mensa Academy announced

This July, a combined effort by Mensa, Barnstorm Games and Square Enix is coming to test your mental mettle.  Here's the press release:

Dark Souls DLC incoming for consoles

The Artorias of the Abyss DLC is set for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime this winter. Namco Bandai has confirmed what many of us suspected - that the new content coming with the PC version of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition will be made available for its console counterparts.

Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royal scan and announcement

Here is an upcoming arcade title with a mouthful for a name: Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royal: Super Saiyan Awakening.

Review: Dragon's Dogma (PS3)

Stepping back and looking at Dragon’s Dogma from a meta-perspective makes you realise it represents everything that is wrong with the games industry. It is an offensively derivative game that makes Gameloft’s knock-offs look creative. Despite the utter cynicism it displays towards consumer buying behaviours, it’s still a moderately entertaining game, but it sits very firmly within the second tier of JRPGs.

Demon's Souls - The online servers to remain up

As the title suggests, Atlus has just announced that they have found a viable way to keep the Demon's Souls online servers up and running.  They did not say how long, but they did state that the servers would not met their demise at the end of May as previously announced.

Review: Mario Tennis Open (3DS)

Camelot proved it could do a fun Tennis game back on the N64. The original Mario Tennis is a genuine multiplayer classic, and I recommend everyone with a Wii to pop on over to the Virtual Console and pick it up. That said, what Camelot has yet to do is prove it can do a good tennis game.

Soulcalibur V - New DLC Screenshots

I really enjoyed Soulcalibur and one of my favorite aspects of that game was customizing combatants.  One way to improve upon your customization options is through DLC, and some more seems to be coming soon.  I am always a bit hit and miss on the DLC as the components can range from very cool to just plain goofy.

[Biohazard] Resident Evil 6 - several new scans

Say what you will about the direction of the Resident Evil series going from survival horror to a more shooter-like genre (you'd be right), the series is still very popular.  While the pace and atmosphere has changed quite a bit over the years, the games themselves still tend to look and sound great.

Review: Farming Simulator 2012 3D (Nintendo 3DS)

Farming Simulator might not have been made by a Japanese company (it’s actually a German production), but I know we have a lot of fans of the Harvest Moon series who read Otaku Gaming, so I thought they might be interested in reading about a realistic equivalent…

Dead or Alive 5 - screenshots of two characters, release date

There are a couple of characters being shown off in these screenshots: Christie and Bayman.
